- Make sure there are no knots, nails or staples in the wood.
- Always hold or clamp the wood firmly while working.
- Allow the saw to operate at maximum speed.
- Be sure the blade guard and safety equipment is operating properly.
- Do not use the blade for materials other than specified.
- Do not wear loose clothing or loose long hair that can catch in the spinning blade.
Kickback usually occurs when the blade is dull, binds or when a cut is unexpectedly interrupted for whatever reason. The force of kickback causes the saw/grinder to suddenly be thrown backwards, or in some cases, unclamped material is thrown backwards towards the operator. In order to control kickback, ensure that proper machine safety guards and handles are used and make sure that the material is clamped down
