The controller works together with the trigger and adjustment wheel to regulate motor speed, allowing you to choose low speeds for finishing and higher speeds for cutting and compounding.
When the speed controller starts to fail, the polisher may surge, run only at one speed, hesitate under load or ignore changes on the speed dial. The POL04-46 speed controller is matched to the original POL04 electronics so you can restore factory behaviour and keep your polisher working reliably on automotive paintwork, metal and other surfaces.
