A non-return valve (also called a check valve) is a small part with a big job: it allows air to flow into the tank, but stops it from flowing back toward the compressor head. The AirCraft SG COMP06-03 Non-Return Valve is designed for the SG COMP06 and SG COMP07 compressor range. If a compressor struggles to restart under pressure, leaks air back through the line, or loses tank pressure faster than expected, a worn check valve is often the culprit. Replacing the non-return valve helps maintain stored pressure, supports smoother cycling, and protects the compressor mechanism from backflow stress.
Check valves keep tank pressure where it belongs—inside the tank. When they fail, air can bleed back, forcing the compressor to fight against pressure during start-up and reducing overall efficiency.
