The Festool KS 120 ET-BG 230V end shield is a genuine replacement motor assembly for selected KAPEX sliding compound mitre saws. Although officially designated as an end shield, the replacement unit is supplied as a more comprehensive assembly incorporating the armature or rotor, commutator, shaft components and supporting end-shield structure shown in the product image.

The armature is the rotating heart of the saw's electric motor. Working within the corresponding field assembly, it converts electrical energy into the rotational movement needed to drive the blade.
