The AirCraft AT0017-29 Collet Base is the foundation of the tool’s clamping system on the AT0017 6mm Mini Air Die Grinder. It supports and locates the collet assembly so your 6mm shank accessories—burrs, rotary files, stones and other attachments—seat properly and run true at high speed. If the collet area has been damaged, cross-threaded, worn, or the tool is struggling to hold accessories tightly, replacing the collet base is the right move. A solid, correctly fitting base reduces wobble, improves grip, and helps prevent accessories from slipping (which is exactly as exciting as it sounds… in the bad way).
