The AirCraft Ratchet Pawl is a replacement engagement component used in the AirCraft Air Ratchet Wrench assembly to bite into the ratchet teeth and transmit torque in the selected direction. When a pawl wears, chips, or rounds off at the working edges, you’ll often feel slipping under load, inconsistent engagement, or a ratchet that sounds rough and loses its confidence. Replacing the pawl restores crisp tooth contact, helping the mechanism drive cleanly, ratchet smoothly, and hold under load the way it should.
The pawl is designed to engage and release repeatedly, thousands of times. A clean engagement surface improves torque transfer, reduces skipping, and helps protect the mating ratchet ring/gear teeth from damage caused by partial engagement.
