The throttle valve is the “tap” that controls how much air enters your impact wrench when you pull the trigger. If the valve stem or seat is worn, or the spring and seals are tired, you can get air leaks, a sticky trigger feel, weak power delivery or a tool that won’t shut off cleanly.
